Faculty Collaboration

Faculty Opportunities

  • Create a CURE (Course Based Research Experience) - BIL has supported faculty from seven different departments with the development of CURE courses with wide ranging topics across biology
  • Build New Experiential Learning Curriculum - BIL can help develop, build, and pilot courses centered around experiential learning. BIO2L (now serving 800 students a quarter) was piloted in BIL and now is one of the core hands-on laboratory classes for College of Biological Sciences students. BIS150 was developed from a CURE course run in the BIL to an upper division course serving over 50 students a quarter.
  • Support the BioInnovation Lab Ecosystem - there are many roles for faculty to interact, support, and grow the BioInnovation Lab ecosystem. For more information please contact Marc Facciotti or Andrew Yao
