Through a collaboration with Professor Christina Cogdell from the Department of Design, the BioInnovation Lab provides UC Davis BioDesign Challenge students a facility to design, build and test their projects. After a quarter of classroom work brainstorming and planning their projects, students have a quarter in the lab to make initial prototypes of their designs. 

Our lab provides both space and expertise to help make the student's initial prototypes into a reality. We help the students consider safety and the timeline of their projects, help with presenting and communicating their ideas and leverage our network with other experts on campus to iterate their ideas.
